I am both a writer and painter. In contrast to my writing, my paintings celebrate a newfound happiness in my life. At 30 I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and only after years of struggle was able to become productive again. My novella, World of Glass, was a finalist for the QWF Paragraphe Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction. Here's a review in The Montreal Gazette. Memorial Suite, my most recent collection of poetry, won the Lennoxville Reads...POETRY award. My poetry chapbook, Hot Summer Night, and a book of doodles, Doodling Moods were published by Sky of Ink Press. My short stories have been featured in Dalhousie Review, Exile, Transition, carte blanche, The Toronto Quarterly and Matrix. I've had two solo art shows at Galerie Espace, Montreal.
